A short drive South provides access to Cornwall's South Coast and numerous gardens in Cornwall which have been created over the years. Heading North from the cottages will take you to the rugged North Cornwall coast line where surfing is abundant on the many beaches with surf coming in from the Atlantic ocean. If beaches are you thing then Cornwall offers a tremendous variety from long sandy beaches to small coves and surfing to rock pooling. Locally the rivers provide some great opportunities for your holiday, sailing canoeing, boat trips and riverside walks are all available. Stop off at Cotehele house one of the National Trusts most spectacular gardens with views across Tamar Valley. Step back in time with a visit to Morwellham Quay a living museum complex and original copper mine. If industrial heritage is of interest, Dingles steam village and Launceston Steam railway provide some interesting days out during your cottage holiday. Siblyback lake offers water sports with sailing and windsurfing as well as walks. If golf is your thing, St Mellion Golf & country club is a short drive away, as is Trethorne golf course. The nearest town, Callington offers convenient shopping.
