Cornwall, beach, beaches, Cornish, golf, golfing, walks, walking, hiking, bird watching, Eden, the Eden project, Rick Stein, Tamar valley, theme parks, days out, surfing, Honeysuckle Cottage is an 18th Century traditional stone built cottage situated in the heart of Golberdon, near Callington. It was originally the village pub, named ‘The New Inn’, eventually closing its doors in 1904 – although we have had many requests to open them again!! It is set back from the road at the back of The Square.

Honeysuckle Cottage has many of its original features including beamed ceilings, window seats and inglenook fireplace with clome oven. It is furnished mainly with antique furniture. There is also the original village well – now inside the house, and a covered feature in the playroom/4th bedroom.

The garden is completely enclosed, surrounded by stone walls, overlooking fields – which sometimes have cattle or sheep in them! There is a patio area with table and chairs, and a chiminea. The large lawned area is perfect for relaxing on comfy deck chairs or the hammock, which are stored in the Summer House which overlooks Caradon Hill in the distance.

There is plenty of space in Honeysuckle Cottage to relax, socialise or find a quiet corner. There is a large lounge, kitchen/breakfast room and separate dining room. There is the Well Room (4th bedroom) with toy cupboard and a small conservatory area which overlooks the garden, perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms – one with a king sized bed, one with a double bed and one twin bedded. The Well Room (downstairs) has a fully sprung double sized sofa bed. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Downstairs the large family bathroom has a luxurious corner air bath, with a shower.

There is space for three cars to park on the drive and a fourth car can park at the front of the house.

Honeysuckle Cottage is centrally heated.

The front door leads to the 21 ft lounge. It is comfortably furnished with a three piece Victorian Knoll suite, and other seating. A TV with video and DVD player is housed in a walnut cabinet. There is a feature fireplace with a wood burner, two windows with window seats look to the front of the property. 

The dining room is   20 ft, with a large oak dining table and six chairs. It has a fully working bar billiards table, and a roll top mahogany desk. There is a French drinks cabinet with marble top, and also a stereo in this room. Two windows with window seats look to the side of the cottage.

The modern fitted kitchen/breakfast room is 21 ft   long. It is fully equipped with large American style fridge freezer, electric fan oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a wall mounted TV and midi system. There is a pine table and four chairs, with a high chair available. The kitchen has two windows overlooking the rear garden, and a door leading to the conservatory. The conservatory has seating and door to the patio. 

The Well Room has a fully sprung sofa bed, large toy cupboard and a wall mounted TV  A natural well is covered and has feature lighting. A small window overlooks the garden. 

The large rear mature garden is fully enclosed. Two sides looking over open fields. The Summer House contains seating, deck chairs, hammock and a parasol. The patio has a table and four chairs and a chiminea. 

A door from the dining room leads to the utility area which has a washer/dryer, fridge and coat racks. A door leads to a small yard which has the dustbin and recycling area. The main bathroom is here at the rear of the property and overlooks fields. It has a corner air bath with shower over, wash hand basin and w.c. 

Upstairs are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 5ft bed with mahogany headboard and matching bedside cupboards. There is a ladies and gentleman’s wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. It has views over the fields and a window seat. The en-suite shower room has a shower cubicle, wash hand basin and w.c., and a large corner cupboard. 

The second bedroom has a Victorian double brass bed, and a mahogany chest of drawers. There is a built in wardrobe. This room has windows overlooking the front and the rear of the property, both with window seats. There is a bentwood rocking chair positioned to overlook the garden. 

The third bedroom has two 3ft beds, and a chest of drawers. The window has a window seat and looks out over The Square. There is a built in wardrobe on the landing.
